2025-2026 BAHA HOCKEY PROGRAMS
Initiation I -
- This program is our entry-level program for children between 4 and 7 years of age (birth years 2021-2018)
- The program focuses on the fundamentals of skating in a supportive and fun environment
- The program runs for 1-hour on Saturday mornings at the Leddy Ice rink from November - February
- Each participant receives a team jersey at no additional charge and is theirs to keep
- Generally Initiation skaters move on to House after 1 or 2 seasons (age dependent) for further skill development
Initiation II -
- The Initiation II is our entry-level program for children who have been on skates and don't need a crate
- Skaters are between 4 and 7 years of age (birth years 2021-2018)
- The program focuses on the fundamentals of skating in a supportive and fun environment
- The program runs for 1-hour on Saturday mornings at the Leddy Ice rink from November - February
- Each participant receives a team jersey at no additional charge and is theirs to keep
- Generally skaters move on to House after 1 season (age dependent) for further skill development
House Mites-
- The BAHA House Program is a skill development program designed to teach the fundamentals of ice skating and the game of hockey in a fun and supportive environment
- Skaters are between 5 and 8 years of age (birth years 2020-2017)
- The program runs on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings at the Leddy lce rink from November - February
- Between 2-4 games are scheduled in January and February ending the season in the house division of our BAHA tournament at the end of February
- Each participant receives a team jersey at no additional charge and is theirs to keep
12U House -
- The BAHA House Program is a skill development program designed to teach the fundamentals of ice skating and the game of hockey in a fun and supportive environment
- This program is intended for older new hockey players and players who enjoy getting on the ice but do not want to participate in travel hockey
- Skaters are between 9 and 12 years of age (birth years 2016-2013)
- The program runs 2 practices a week at the Leddy lce rink from November - February
- Each participant receives a team jersey at no additional charge and is theirs to keep
Travel Teams -
- Evaluation process in early October
- 2 practices per week / weekday evenings
- 1-2 games per weekend (travel generally within VT)
- 2 Tournaments per season with one being the VSAHA tournament (generally within the Northeast)
- 8U Coed – ages 6-8 birth years 2017-2019
- 10U Coed & Girls – ages 9-10 birth years 2015-2016
- 12U Coed & Girls – ages 11-12 birth years 2013-2014
- 14U Coed & Girls – ages 13-14 birth years 2011-2012

ALL players on ALL teams 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U are REQUIRED to have the BAHA Practice Jersey.

JERSEY ORDER:
BAHA is rebranding and there will be an apparel fitting in August to size players for their new uniforms. The new design will be announced this summer. BAHA is closing in on a sponsor for the new jerseys.
Note: 14U Girls are NOT required to purchase BAHA uniforms or Practice Jerseys.
**Initiation and House players do not need to order game jerseys, jerseys will be provided at your first practice.
