We're excited to introduce a new initiative to bridge the gap between the end of the regular youth hockey season and the start of the spring sports season. This program is designed for players born between 2011 and 2019, providing them with a chance to continue developing their skills while enjoying an athletic activity with friends.
Who: Three co-ed groups based on birth year:
- House & 8U (2017-2019)
- 10U (2015-2016)
- 12U/14U (2011-2014)
When:
- Week 1: 3/17 and 3/20 between 5:30-8:50pm
- Week 2: 3/24 and 3/26 between 5:30-8:50pm
- Week 3: TBD
- Week 4: 4/7 and 4/10 between 5:30-8:50pm
- Week 5: 4/14 and 4/17 between 5:30-8:50pm
Cost: $200 per player
Game Format:
- All games will be played on a half-ice rink
- Two 25-minute running time periods.
- Dividers (boards) will be placed at center ice to allow for continuous play.
- Each game will have one adult monitor in charge of each half-ice game.
- All players must have a valid USA Hockey # to register.
- No checking, no slap shots, no whistles - play is continuous!
- Goalies can participate for FREE.
Additional Details:
- Each group gets one hour of ice time twice per week.
- All sessions are coed and designed to promote skill development in a fun environment.
- Each Session, teams will be created based on numbers with the intention of having a balanced team to ensure fun!
Game Structure:
- 8-minute warm-up followed by two 25-minute periods with a 2-minute break in between.
- Goalies stay with their team for both periods; if goalies are unavailable, we will use a goal blocker.
This program not only helps players enhance their skills but also allows them to meet and play with teammates they will partner with in the upcoming season!
